Gettysburg Tourism Community Rallies Amid Government Shutdown

 

In October of 2013, during the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, barricades blocked visitors from entering Gettysburg National Military Park. All expectations for this banner year of tourism could have come crashing down. However, the government shutdown highlighted the Gettysburg community’s resiliency.
